CAPT US AIR FORCE ------- SIDNEY J. DILLON - 1972 Former Arthur Resident Dies Sidney J. Dillon, 54, died July 11, 1972 in a hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. Rev. LeRoy Carter officiated the services for the former Arthur resident in the Arthur Baptist Church. Dillon was born May 22, 1918 in Des Moines. He attended Grinnell College at Grinnell, the Columbia University in New York, the University of Arizona, and was graduated from Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio. Dillon was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War and resided in Des Moines. He married Ruth Samuelson of Nevada, Iowa in 1957. Survivors include: widow; son David of Boston, Massachusetts, and one grandson.
