Denison Bulletin June 18, 2002 The Johannsen Family Reunion for 2002 was held Sunday, June 9 at the Farm Bureau Building in Denison. A potluck dinner was served at noon with many different kinds of food and desserts. A birthday cake for the 80 birthday of Elfie Riessen was also served. Those present were Esther Brensel and Wayne Brensel of Denison; LeRoy and Diane Brensel of Rice Lake, Wisconsin; Jolene Kepford, Karla, Michelle, Eric and Kevin Covington of St. Louis, Missouri; Julie Gerken of Troy, Missouri; LaVerna Hanson, Lois DeVoss, Clyde and Leatrice Bean of Cedar Rapids; Denny and Linda O'Neil of Geneva, Minnesota; Richard, Vicki, Jennifer, and Jamey DeVoss of Dunlap; Elfie Riessen and Joann Riessen of Schleswig; Steve, Karla, Annette, and Amy Bertrand of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Delmar and Gladys Wessel, Duane, Kristi, Raquel and Danny Wessel, Brett and Katie Gehlsen and Joshua Wessel, all of Denison; Murlyn Aronson, Leon and Wendy Maas of Charter Oak; Amy Maas of Cedar Falls; Angela Maas of Sioux City; Anna Harm, Edmund and Marion Petersen, Betty Bilsten of Denison; Carl and Bernice Segebart of Vail; Jim, Ellery and Pete Segebart of Denison; Lon Jensen of Corvella, Oregon; Irvin and Lavaughn Schultz and Clarence and Ruby Friedricksen of Kiron; and Fred and Florence Schultz of Odebolt. Those in attendance were glad to see so many come from near and far and missed everyone of those that couldn't be there for one reason or another. The 2003 reunion is planned for the second Sunday in June at the same place
